"Hello again party people, how are you doing?

I’ve come to present to you the third edition of my Metro Tech Project in which I’m gonna show you what the 90s could do for us. The set is almost entirely based on Speed Garage (Speed Garage depending on your accent), a style of electronic music common between 1996 and 1998.

The very first song is considered by many to be the very first Speed Garage tune to officially exist and go into the mainstream arena, a production of the award-winning and legendary DJ and producer Armand van Helden, in 1996, deemed by many the Speed Garage creator.

Great names are coming such as Faithless, Da Hool, Todd Terry, Brainbug and CJ Bolland which the bonus classic of this set. Occasionally, one or another Techno and Trance songs come in, remembering that Metro Tech is a project which I dedicate to an old radio program here in Sao Paulo, a project wherein I expose to the world what used to be played there between 1997 and 1998, what I considered the best radio program ever. For more information on the project, you can check out my blog.

Still talking about dedication, I also dedicate this set to my friend and fellow DJ John Robert in Texas, the USA, a Speed Garage lover, plus one new friend I’ve made recently, the Brazilian DJ Yanay who, among others, pioneered Jungle and Drum & Bass here in Brazil, in his city Rio de Janeiro, and last but not least, a lovely friend of mine, Rita, a Canadian mate living in Greece nowadays, this set is a dedication to her recent birthday, I hope she’ll accept the belated gift. “Happy Birthday to you laaady, lots of hugs from Brazil”

Enough talk party people, let’s go straight to the show, today you’re gonna feel The Power Of Megablast, so let’s feel it!!!"

  2. Thanks for your comment, Foster! I'd just like to understand exactly what you told me with 90% of my case... If that means that you considered 90% of Speed Garage present, you're right with that, the set is almost entirely Speed Garage based.

Metro Tech was a radio program here in Brazil which featured Speed Garage, alongside House, Techno and Trance. This project of mine entitled Metro Tech reflects what used to be played there.

If you liked this one, you may like Metro Tech #2 and Metro Tech #1 sets.

    Thanks and regards!
